About Svetlana
I have been teaching ESL in New York since 1996. Also, I prepare for SAT, SHSAT, ELA- all grades, TOEFL, HESI and many other tests. I work online on Zoom and Skype, FaceTime, and in person. One-on-one is preferrable, but small groups are OK.
I supply my students with notes of my lectures, handouts, and digital or paperback textbooks.
I have Bachelor Degree in English issued by NY Institute of Technology.
BA in English issued by NY Institute of Technology (2007). Besides, I have BS in Computer Science (1977) and Certificate in English issued by London Chamber of Commerce and Trade (1991).

About the lesson

We start with orientation session, which is free and lasts for 10-15 minutes. The student tells me what test they have to take and answers several grammar questions. I tell about my course and show books.
The classes last 90 minutes. Students e-mail homework before classes, I check it, and we discuss mistakes if any.
I work with adults and children, high school students preferrable.
To work in a group, the student is supposed to find a person with relevant education and experience, enthusiastic and hardworking.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
A student is supposed to define if they want to study online or offline, how many textbooks the course includes (depends on starting level, but also on what is the target score).
