About Saahil
Choreographer, dancer, and producer based in the SF Bay Area.
As a first-generation South Asian, my choreography style draws upon both western and eastern dance styles I fuse together to reflect my bicultural upbringing. My choreography aims to be a fusion of dance styles, including elements of hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary, along with a flair of traditional Bollywood.
I developed my love for fusion dance while I was on UC Davis Lashkara, UC Davis’ competitive Bollywood-Fusion dance team, between 2016-2019. During my tenure as Choreography Captain and Male Lead for two years, I led my team to win 2 national titles, numerous first place wins, and several awards for Best Choreography — in addition to my own individual awards for Best Male Dancer. My love for the arts has motivated me to now inspire my local communities to pursue their passions for the visual and performing arts — alongside professional aspirations. Today, I spend most of my time creating unique dance concept videos.
Trained in Bollywood, Garba, Raas, and Folk styles. Self-taught in Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk, and Contemporary styles. Currently creating my own style of dance, Bollywood Funk, which combines elements of Bollywood, Hip Hop, and Jazz into a fast, upbeat, acrobatic, and athletic movements.

Over the past 10 years, I've taught dance to students from the age of 5-25, and have found that patience, dedication, and trust are the foundations for building a strong relationship to dance. I strongly believe everyone can dance, whether they believe it or not, and our journey with dance is unique. I start every class by creating a warm welcoming environment, where I make every student feel like a star.
