About David

Everyone has the capacity to express themselves artistically. It is my reward to lead students to that realization.

I went through the non-traditional licensure program to get my teaching license.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree focusing on Drawing and Painting. I had vast Art History education as well. I taught various levels of art in grades 6-12 for six years.

About the lesson

Find out what knowledge and skills they are already comfortable with. Find out what they need to know, or want to know. Develop tutoring curriculum that scaffolds them to their goal.

I've worked with kids from lower socio-economic backgrounds, rural areas, kids with learning challenges, IEPs and 504s

Hire someone that you can get along with and someone who can demonstrate the skills and knowledge you require.

It's been many years since I actively taught in a classroom, but I have seen a continued interest in art among some former students, and that is gratifying.
