About Ivy

Mei Tutoring provides online services to help accommodate students who are currently in remote online learning. For 3 years, I have tutored elementary and middle school students in various subjects such as math, English, and history in the Oakland/Alameda area. I am great with kids as I grew up in a large family.

When I was in high school, I started tutoring through a program that my fellow classmate had created. The program mainly focused on helping students who had a hard time focusing and were falling behind in class. After tutoring for about two months, I realized it was fun and fulfilling so I decided to tutor as a part time job.

Currently, I am an undergraduate studying pre-nursing but I also have a passion for teaching children. For three years, I tutored elementary and middle school students with their homework.

About the lesson

First, I will ask what do he/she like about school or how was their day so far. Second, I will ask what subjects or concepts do he/she has difficulty understanding. Then we will start from there.

I have worked with elementary (including K-1st) and middle school students.
