About Elizabeth

As someone who has loved writing and reading from a young age, I am eager to help everyone become confident in their English abilities!

I am a student who was written for 3 publications with over 100 published pieces. I am currently writing for Gen Rise Media and Envoys for Humanity, and I won district-wide awards for writing. I have passed AP Lang+Comp and AP US History with 5s and have tutored both elementary school and college students.

I enjoy helping others learn the necessary skills and realize their potential in academia. Regardless of who they are or what their interest is, they can be successful.

I began tutoring because I want to become a teacher and I want to familiarize myself with students, and more importantly, learn to teach in ways that are unique and will meet each students needs.

I am a published and essay-winning writer. I have taken Honors English, AP Language + Composition, and AP Literature.

About the lesson

I like to begin by reviewing what the student knows and working up from there. If the student feels familiar, they will be comfortable with learning new material.

I have helped both elementary and college-level students with test prep. I have done basic reading and writing with first graders and reviewed essays for first-year college students.

I would say that they should find someone who seems likable and has a teaching style that fits you, and don't be worried about changing tutors. If their teaching style isn't working, try to find someone who will work the best for you.

I am fond of watching the film Good Will Hunting, and the message it teaches about being a courageous person and finding your way in life.
