About Karen
I have been a tutor of young children for three years. I have tutored at the local elementary school and a religious school. I also am the mother of five children and have run a day care in my home and taught at a religious school for many years. Children are my passion and joy!
Aside from helping the children improve their skills, I love also knowing that I can provide them with adult interaction and encouragement that gives them confidence.
I was running a day care business out of my house when my kids were young, but began looking for something that provided more flexibility as they got older. Since I have always loved being with kids, teaching gives me a way to make a contribution while also doing something I love.

I get to know the student by asking them questions about their interests and talk to them about their learning style and what they are most comfortable with.
I have worked with a wide variety of students from very different backgrounds and learning levels. The grade range is from K-6th grade.
