About Jeannie

We teach to the whole person and cater to one's multiple intelligences. We constantly "tweak" our teaching to engage and challenge students to the next level.

I enjoy seeing students' "ha ha" moment and seeing when they push themselves to work harder and to go for the next level -- all on their own because I have inspired them. There is an internal satisfaction that comes with knowing that I have made a difference in their journey of learning.

I have B.A. in East Asian Studies; MBA and Teacher Certification for Teaching Chinese for the State of Rhode Island (RIDE).

About the lesson

Once a student decide to come to our school for Chinese lessons, we send out a questionnaire for them to fill out. This questionnaire gives them a chance to tell us more about themselves including their dominant learning style, their reason for choosing Chinese and their plan after they take Chinese lesson ...etc. I will meet with that person and discuss the payment plan and give them an overview of the lesson plan I drafted up for the student. We will then start our first lesson. It's just that simple.

CSEB is small and intimate school that works for my son. The attention to your child's needs is priceless. My son's teacher was very patient and kind. She worked with him on his level and gradually elevated his comprehension to the next level. The director is hands on and is always looking for ways to enhance each student experience. CSEB is a great school for learning Mandarin. You will get more than you pay for. Love it here!
