About Phillip

I've loved reading and english as a subject in general since I was in kindergarden, I've always been pretty good at it and the idea of helping others to better understand and find a deeper appreciation for it is something that gives me a deep sense of satisfaction.

I've always been good at explaining things to people, and I've always enjoyed helping people when they are struggling so I decided it would be a good idea to start monitizing 



I am college educated, have a BFA with a minor in sociology, and experience tutoring.

First I establish the students level of proficiency in a subject by talking with them about it and asking them if they can explain to me a few key concepts. Then we go over some of the work they've been assigned most recently in the subject of focus to see how well they are keeping up with the rate their classes are going at. 



I've worked with middle school, highschool, and college students.



Think about what specifically you need help with, what about the subject matter you need assistance do you need to address the most. 



Recently I was tutoring someone and watching the moment the concept I was teaching them clicked and they grasped it after struggling with it for a while was a great feeling

Details

My pricing system is $25 an hour for middle school, $30 an hour for high school, and $35 for college but can vary depending on the complexity and work load associated with the subject matter I'll be tutoring.
