About Cristina
I aim to help each student acheive their goals by developing learning plans that are unique to them. I have a BA in Communication Studies and Sociology, and my goal is to combine my educational experience along with my passion for reading and writing to help students excel in their classes.
I am an extrovert and love working with others. I also enjoy problem solving and providing positive experiences.
Throughout my college years, I spent time assisting my niece and nephews with their homework and school studies. I am new to tutoring, but after mentoring my niece and nephews, I have gained a passion for teaching.
When I was younger, I had a tutor. My tutor helped me learn material I never thought I could understand. Since graduating from FAU last year, I have decided to help students improve in areas where they would like to excel.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Sociology. I have also studied Mass Communications and TV Production.

I have strong written and verbal communication skills.

My typical process for working with a new student is to gain an understanding of the material and concepts the student is comfortable working in. By learning the student's strengths, I can determine areas of opportunity and develop strategies to help the student build confidence in their comprehension of course material.
I have tutored and mentored children from ages 5-13.
