About Vishal

I have taught biology at John Hancock High School and facilitated many one-on-one sessions during my break/prep times. I received my Master’s in Education May 2017. I am eager to engage with students, manage challenging student behavior and measures academic achievements through individualize instruction. By developing activities and curricular practices that incorporate students’ personal experiences and interests outside of the classroom, students were seen to be more engaged in the activities and took initiatives in their learning. During student teaching at John Hancock High School, every “challenging” student behavior had a root. I believe it is our responsibility to find out if investigating the root of the problem will help enable student to a richer education.

I have also tutored students at College of DuPage and DePaul University. It is always different with every student, where at the end of the day, I am happy to see them progress! Additionally, I have taught ESL students for several years - one of them being my little sister who now is a nurse!

I take the responsibilities of an educator sincerely, as I am prepared to learn, as well, since different individuals' needs require different solutions. Before I begin our tutoring session, I like to know the areas of strengths and improvements of my students. More importantly, I would like to know my student by simply just talking to them – I understand our kid’s sub-culture as I am actively involved.

Parents will receive full-disclosure and summary on each tutoring sessions. I am happy to adjust as recommended.

I have an extremely flexible schedule, while I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, and I do offer makeup sessions. I like to meet at public libraries, as it offers additionally supporting services when in need.

Please feel free to contact me if you have a question or are interested.

Thank you for your time!I have an extremely flexible schedule. I have "dipped my toes" in every subject growing up. I have a sense of knowledge in near most subjects, which makes me a versatile teacher.

Thank you for your time!

I love when a student "gets it". I love the feeling when they are satisified with their accomplishments. I like relating to most students.

I believe that every individual is entitled to an enriching education, respect, and well-being. My goal is to motivate individuals and provide them conditions in which they can learn. Every student's potential should be considered limitless, and as their teacher, I will help them reach their full potential by fostering confidence and encouragement.  I received my Masters in Education in Instructional Leadership and obtained a Professional Educator License June of 2017.  Prior, I graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelors of Health Sciences and minor in Biology.  I have been in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was featured in DePaul’s 2014 CSH Annual Report as student of the year! Tutoring my sister at young age, has helped me get into tutoring others

I have worked with kids from pre-k to college.

Look for teachers that can show you different ways of thinking for a single problem. Teachers that have it all figured out are usually the ones that tell you how and what to think. Great teachers will be enagaging and provide you opportunities for natural thoughts to occur.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How can you help me be enaged?

How will you show me a solution without giving away the solution?

Why do you teach?
