About Judy

Judy White, M.A.

English Language Trainer

Judy White is a learner centered innovative English Language Trainer, coach and mentor. Committed to creating an engaging learning environment on line or in person one on one. Most importantly, her students say she is patient, kind, understanding and committed to make learning fun and enjoyable.

Judy has over ten years of experience as an English Language Trainer and coach with a M.A.in Education /(ESL) English as Second Language from the University of Arizona in Phoenix, AZ. She earned a B.A. in English and Communication from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX., with certification to teach English and Public Speaking.

In 2008, Judy founded English Language Trainer, an independent tutoring service, providing 1-1 in person and online tutoring to high school, college and international students as well as business professionals. Over the last 10 years she has maintained a 5 star rating from her students and has acquired 1,372 hours of tutoring.

Furthermore, Judy has served as a contract English language trainer with Cartus, Inc. an international relocation company for corporate executives since 2007. Formerly, she worked as a classroom ESL and Business English teacher at Intrax Cultural Exchange and Solex Collegein Chicago.

Before transitioning to English language training in 2005, Judy achieved a successful 20-year career as a Development Director with national organizations including the National Safety Council(Chicago, IL), the Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation,

(New York, NY), Save the Children, (Westport, CT) and Southern Methodist University, (Dallas, TX).

At the present time, Judy specializes in leading clients to achieve their personal learning objectives by developing and delivering tailor made 1 to 1 private lessons and online in general and business English at the intermediate and advance level. In addition, she guides clients to understand and experience American Culture. Judy continues as a lifelong learner of different cultures through travel, literature and tutoring clients.  

Her areas of expertise: ESL Studies (e.g. pronunciation, accent reduction, public speaking, writing skills, vocabulary, listening and speaking for social and business situations), Business English Studies (e.g. presentation skills, meetings and negotiations language techniques, business email proficiency, telephone skills via telephone or video conferences, and networking competence).

Expertise in Multi-sensory learning strategies, American Cultural Immersion, Online and Skype Instruction, and iBT TOEFL Test Prep.

All in all, Judy affirms, "Guiding students along the path of academic and professional achievement while being a good role model is my mission".
