About Mindy
I have been teaching Englis/Language Arts in middle school for 8 years. I have a Bachelors of Arts in English from the University of Central Oklahoma. I love teaching the writing process to my students. Once they realize they have all the tools they need, they gain confidence in their writing.
Everyone can write. We just have to find your confidence first!
I've always wanted to teach! I was 4 when I told my grandmother I would be a teacher. It took me a while to get started due to marriage and a family. However, I believe those things make me better able to deal with the struggles and problems of any level of writing.
I'm a middle school English teacher. My degree is in English which makes my area of study heavier on the writing and analysis side of English. I am able to work with elementary students in reading and writing basics, as well as middle and high school students on essays, grammar, and analysis.

Working with a new student requires trust. I like to build trust with my students, and then pin point the areas you need help with by doing a short assessment. After the assessment, we will begin addressing the needs of the student.
I have worked with middle school students from 11-15 years old. I have worked in urban and rural areas with children across the spectrum of intelligence.

I love summer! It's my time to shine... or soak up the sunshine. I love to garden. This year is my first time to plant vegetables. I have been working hard all spring and summer to bring delicious vegetables to my family.
