About Porsha

Hello my name is Ms. Stallings! I am an ELA teacher. My tutoring services is a fun and educational. Upon registration scholars will recieve a gift bag that also includes their summer reading list. My services range from general to add ons that are specific to your child.

I enjoy seeing scholars grow. I love the progressive struggle, because the end result is always amazing!

I begin my career as an educator at the end of my time in undergrad. I had a strong realization that I needed to change my path of working in phsycology to working with children to helping to educate them and nuture their minds. I fell in love with education and have taken coures/classes every year to help me to continue to grow in my craft.

I have my masters in education, and have been teaching middle school ELA for 5 years.

About the lesson

Parents can choose from a general session where we will read and discuss text. While also focusing on state standards. If parents choose an add on service, their scholar will take an assesement, that allows for more focused instruction.

I have worked with middle scholars grades 4-12, but specialize in grades 5-8.

To make sure they hire a teacher that understands that scholars are more than just numbers on paper and that they are human. Not every kid learns the same so to fid a tutor that helps them learn the way they need to.

This year has been a year of many changes, but one thing that I cherish and am truly fond of is the bonds that I was able to create virtually with the scholars in my classroom. Even through a computer screen they were able to learn and grow!

For 26/hr your scholar would receive a combination of lessons that would focus on the next grades standards.

Add ons

Assessment and targeted curriculum $150

For a one time fee your scholar would take an assessment that would help to determine the key standards that your scholar needs more support with.

Assessment, targeted curriculum, weekly progress report, access to online learning portals $175

For a one time fee your scholar would take an assessment that would help determine priority standards, parents would receive a detailed progress report that allows them to see data of their scholars growth throughout our time together.

*All sessions include access to the session at all times, and recordings of the entire session for parents to review.*
