About Jennifer
I have six years of experience as an elementary school teacher. During my time as a teacher, I have tutored both individual students and groups of students on a weekly basis.
I also completed my Master's degree in educational leadership and hold a K-12 Principal certification. This course of study has given me the skills to analyze student performance and to set goals, and track data for student growth.
I have the following active Texas teaching certificates:
EC-6 General Education (Elementary K-6)
K-12 Special Education
K-12 Principal
K-12 English as a Second Language
I enjoy working with students to help them reach their goals. I strive to create fun lessons for students to keep them motivated and excited to learn.
I have 6 years of experience as a classroom teacher. I also worked as a curriculum developer for my district. My work as a curriculum developer helps me to craft lessons specific to your child's needs.

About the lesson

When beginning with a new student, I will first meet with you to discuss your goals for your student and areas for growth. I will then come up with a plan of learning to address your students specific needs. A typical 1 hour lesson will consist of content introduction, direct teaching, modeled practice, and games to practice the concept. The lesson will conclude with an exit ticket. The exit ticket will be a practice exercise on which the student can show mastery.
