About Kat
I have experience teaching students ages 5 to 13 in school settings. I held a two year internship at an organization that manages after school clubs for disadvantaged children in elementary school. I was also the instructor for a middle school debate program at Oak Hill School in Eugene, Oregon where I taught middle school students the essential aspects of debate, helped them participate in debates, and prepared them for a successful career in high school debate. I was also a counselor at Oregon's Courageous Kids summer camp where I children and teens express and process their grief.
I am an incoming college freshman at American University in Washington, DC. I've taken 9 AP courses throughout high school including literature/language, French, calculus, biology, and various social sciences. I am also fluent in French and Portuguese.
