About Arianna

I'm a first year college students pursuing a bachelors degree at the University of Rochester in New York. Due to the coronavirus, I’m back at home and providing my services as an online English and writing tutor. I took honors and AP English classes in high school as well as passing the actual AP exams.

I'm passionate about writing, reading, and English. That's why I'm majoring in English on the creative writing track. I remember what it's like to be overwhelmed by work, especially literature assignments and essays. I would really like to help people, like others helped me, succeed and excel in these subjects.

I have a 720 SAT verbal score, with an overall 1340 composite score. I have passed all AP Exams, with a 3 in English Language and Composition and a 4 in English Literature and Composition. I have taken and excelled in multiple high school English courses, as well as being a yearbook copy editor and literary magazine editor. In college, I'm pursuing a bachelor's degree in English and I currently have a 3.86 GPA.

The tutoring process is all about personalizing the experience for each student. Each person learns in a different way, whether it's more visual, hands out, auditory, etc. I remember what it's like to have trouble in school, and I can, therefore, relate to students' issues and have a better understanding of how to teach them. I would get to know them first: their likes, dislikes, academic strengths & weaknesses. And then I would factor these into my tutoring approach.
