About Aaron

My passion for teaching others began in the multi-age program and it's just gotten stronger over the years. It never gets old seeing someone's face light up and the stress melt off their shoulders when I'm able to help them understand something or finishing a tough assignment.

Grammar and English have always been important in my family. I have been tutoring since 4th grade. My school in Florida had a program where older students would tutor those a grade below them called, "The Multi-age Family". I continued private tutoring throughout my school years and I am currently attending Marshall University as a Sophomore. I maintain a decent GPA.

I was the guy that people would offer to pay to do their homework 😉.

Establish assignment. Find out where the student feels they are struggling. Figure out how to best solve the issue. Work together to build confidence and address any questions that may arise. I always am looking at spelling, vocabulary, grammar, run-on sentences, etc. during this entire process.

In cases that may need extra attention, we will work together to find and establish the best learning style(s) for the student. Discretion is a high priority in my sessions.

All ages and education levels. I have worked with special needs students as well, but it was mainly motor-functioning and very simple arithmetic.

Don't be too proud to admit you are struggling with an area. It is okay to ask questions if you don't understand something. Find someone who takes an interest in your personal academic success and not just a paycheck.

Every time I see my daughter after we have been apart for a little bit. Those hugs and pure joy will always feed my spirit.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What -exactly- is the issue I am having?

What type of assignment is it?

What is your teacher expecting? Rubrics are very helpful if available.

Do I have any ideas of what direction I want the assignment to go?

Am I prepared before our session?

Am I willing to try new ideas and methods in order to succeed or get a good grade?
