How I work with students
1. Virtual meeting to introduce myself and meet the student.
2. Determine student needs, strengths and skill development needs.
3. Develop and individualized learning plan and schedule for tutoring. Share and explain plan.
4. Gain student (and parent or sponsor) concurrence with the plan.
5. Provide guidelines, timeline, and expected outcomes in writing.
6. Secure signed agreement.
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities. I enjoy working with grades 2 through college.
Students should interview their perspective teachers and share their own ideas about the kind of teacher that best suits their needs. They should freely ask questions and get to know the teacher before hiring.
I am retired but I enjoy working part-time as a reading intervention specialist at an elementary school. I am also a top-rated education editor on UPWORK. I enjoy editing college application essays and doctoral dissertations.
