About Shyanne

I am very enthusiastic about education. I love learning and I love teaching. I will Be graduating with my Bachelors degree in December with a major in Literature, a minor in history and a minor in psychology. I have a little one of my own and understand the importance of a quality education! I am able to teach a wide variety of subjects such as English Composition, Reading, Literature, Social Studies/History, and some basic levels of Math. I am also able to teach some elective type topics as well; upon request. I am very excited to get started. My passion for learning and for teaching sets my company aside from other companies because I care about my students success and it is my number one priority in my business. Let’s get started!

I have an Associates degree and will be receiving a Bachelors degree in December for Literature from UNT. I have worked with kids for a large portion of my life before having my own child. I also have not limited my tutoring to children but have extended it to adults either in college, continuing their education, or senior students. I help with organization, study skills and academic tutoring.

About the lesson

I like to sit down for an initial review of what all is needing to be addressed; I also like to assess my students personalities and learning styles during this consultation. This consultation can also be over the phone or over Skype, FaceTime or GoogleDuo. I also ask for copies of any syllabi or class schedules if they have them. This is so I can gauge where we are at and where we need to be. It also allows me to prep lessons so they are relevant to what is being taught in class. If the student needs help with organization I like to help with that first and then get started with the academics. For the academics I like to cater to the parents and the students and work as a team to build a curriculumn or success.

Details

I usually charge anywhere between $20-$40 an hour. If there is a cancellation that is within 24 hours of service I do charge for that service.

Usually, the initial consultation/review is $20 for the first hour and depending on what is needed and the meeting location the prices for services vary.

For phone or digital consultations I usually do not charge.

I only accept services on the hour not quarter or half hour.
