About Elizabeth

Hi, I'm Elizabeth. My one year old son and I travel with my husband for work. Every 6 weeks or so, we move to a different part of the country. It is equally an adventure and a challenge. During this season of life, I would greatly love to serve others through tutoring. My learning experience was special and cherished to me. I would like to make your education special to you!

I graduated high school in 2009, Salutatorian.

I went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Art at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I majored in Broadcast Communication and minored in Business Administration and Marketing. I graduated Suma Cum Laude with a 3.9 GPA. While at UAB, I received the Ms. UAB Alumni Leadership Scholarship based on both academics and community leadership and involvement.

My particular tutoring passions are English and Grammar. I love to write, and I would love to help others write. The English language is beautiful, and it is important that we all learn to use it and practice it well.

When I was little, I LOVED the first day of school. The first day of school was second only to Christmas in my mind. My sister would tell me that eventually I would get over that and hate it. Low and behold, in August of 2012, I started my last "first day" of college, and my love for school was just as vibrant and prevalent as the first day of first grade. I desire to share this love for education with you. I would like to see you succeed and move forward with your education.

I have tutored in both high school and college, mostly in English and Math.

About the lesson

When I first meet a student I want to learn their interests as well as their learning style. I want to know you, and I want to serve you! Each tutoring session will begin with either an evaluation of skills, needs, and learning style or a review from the previous session. I also like to throw in a little fun with trivia or a game. Learning should be fun!

My family is currently traveling across the country with my husband's work. In the past 10 months, we have lived in Maine, Nevada, Virginia, Georgia, Texas, Washington. Our life is a constant adventure. On the weekends, we take our one year old and explore our cities and national parks and play a little disc golf. I love our adventurous lifestyle.
