About Tamika

As a Visionary Leader, Bridge Builder and Educator, I have been privileged to have over twenty years of experience instructing, guiding, and helping learners of all ages in both traditional and alternative environments. I am dedicated to guiding scholars to succeed while inspiring an insatiable passion for learning! I believe all scholars can learn and thrive in a learning environment that is stimulating, comforting and appropriate to their unique talents and abilities.

To cultivate my passion for learning and teaching, I established TOPS Tutoring Academy LLC in the year 2000. Here at TOPS Tutoring, we believe that the best approach to tutoring is one that adheres to YOUR learning needs and is tailored around YOUR learning style. Although we know that each scholar is different, we believe that every scholar can achieve personal academic success. Therefore, we will discover the best style of teaching and implement the best approach for each unique scholar to be successful. as We vow to Teach Optimal Preparation for Success and reach the TOPS of each mountain we may face. Let us get started and let us reach higher!

I knew from the tender age of 4 that I wanted to become a teacher. I thoroughly enjoy teaching my imaginary students in the comfort of the bathroom as I gave them spelling tests from the back of toothpaste, soap, shampoo and conditioner, and other bathroom items!! After I began elementary school, I knew that I wanted to be just like my Kindergarten Teacher Ms. Mathis and my 1st grade teacher Mrs. Reeder and my 2nd grades teacher Mrs. Byrd; all of whom I have kept in contact with.

T.O.P.S. TUTORING PRICING Guide

*Introductory Session

If you’d like to learn more about how our tutors work, we can schedule a 30 minute preview session.  You will only be charged for the session if you decide to continue work with that tutor.

*Pricing

Our tutoring rates range from $30 per hour to $150 per hour. Rates are based on a variety of factors, such as length of time, location of services, number of persons in each session and subject and/or skills being taught.

You may order as many individual sessions on a week-to-week basis as often as you would like, depending on tutor availability.

Payment is due at each session (with a one session deposit) unless otherwise arranged with T.O.P.S. Academic Tutoring Center LLC (Teaching Optimal Preparation for Success). A specific tutor’s availability may be subject to seasonal fluctuations and can only be guaranteed with a package purchase or by prior arrangement. To accommodate clients availability, online tutoring services are now being offered.

*Package Deals

A package is a large portion of tutoring sessions you buy ahead of time. Once you buy a package, you can distribute the time you’ve purchased however you want (within a 90-day period), depending on your and your tutor’s schedules, although most students prefer to meet one hour a week either in person or online.

Buying a package has several advantages:

* Guarantees that your tutor will be committed to you for the length of the package
* Access to Proctored Diagnostic Assessments
* FREE Bonus Sessions when you pay in advance

We offer three packages based on the amount of tutoring you want:
*Bonus Hours only offered if payment is made by the end of the first session.
