About Mallah

I absolutely love to teach people of all ages how to read, write, speak and properly pronounce words in English. I am very patient with my students. I believe laughter is an important part of learning English. Sometimes, we say some really funny things when we are learning a new language! Laughing at ourselves is a great way to lesson the feelings of self-consciousness many adults especially feel when learning a new language. I specialize in teaching young people and also foreign language speakers who are trying to learn and/or improve their English language skills.

I love the joy of watching students learn the English language. I love being part of the inner victory students feel when they can actually read a sentence in English for the first time or understand the parts of speech or how letters work together to create words.

About the lesson

I always spend some time getting to know general information about the student. Listening to their speech helps me to gauge their level of learning. I like to know about their family and what they are interested in doing for hobbies. This helps me to better understand how I can use examples they can relate to. I also use a variety of teaching methods including music and melody for audio-centric learners; brief video clips or props for visual learners and lots of movement for the kinesthetic learners.
