About Rebecca

Hello,

My name is Rebecca and I am currently a senior at UCLA graduating Suma Cum Lade in Comparative Literature. I am currently in the process of applying to law schools and will be taking this upcoming year to work and tutor individuals in English, Comparative Literature, Hebrew, History and Political Science. I love working with people and look forward to aiding others in achieving academic success!

I am extremely passionate about anything and everything relating to literary and political works. In addition, I absolutely love working and connecting with people. Given my experiences as a student, I recognize how much a tutor can impact an individual's academic experiences. With the right support, tutoring and counseling, a student is capable of achieving anything. Throughout the first two years of college, I tutored high school and college students in English and American Sign Language. I truly enjoyed this experience and look forward to tutoring a variety of different subjects.

I have always enjoyed teaching. Following law school, I hope to pursue a career as a university professor.

I will be graduating UCLA in the upcoming week -- June 14, 2016 -- with a degree in Comparative Literature. Additionally, I am graduating top of my class (Suma Cum Lade) and have a lot of experience tutoring children and students. In high school I worked with elementary school children on subjects relating to English and Mathematics, and in college I worked with students struggling in English and foreign language (e.g., American Sign Language).

About the lesson

When meeting with a new student, I believe it is extremely important to gain an in depth understanding of the individual's needs and goals. Given that each student is unique, their study and mentoring methods will vary. Once being better acquainted with the student, I will develop a personalized study and tutoring plan to help the student achieve their goals.

I have worked with many children in elementary school, students in high school and college students.
