About Megan

HI! I'm Megan. I am a sophmore on high honor roll at my local, blue ribbon awarded, high school.

As a writer I am, a winner of my schools newspaper contest, honors english student, secretary of the Broadcast Journalism club, and I am highly expierenced in various areas of writiing. Creative writing, Essays, Poetry, Vocabulary etc. are all things I am highly knowledgable in.

I took Alegbra I as an eigth grader and recieved a 95 on the NYS regents. I unfortunately did not take the Geometry regents due to the pandemic but I exceeded in Geometry as well.

I am currently in Global History honors, last year I recieved an A in social studies and in middle school I recieved A+in both seventh and eighth grade.

I have been playing violin since I was in third grade. I competed at NYSSMA majors with my highschool orchestra at a level 5 which is the highest level for NYSSMA majors. I am able to read and comprehend music and have my own violin. I am able to teach begginers proper technique for playing along with understanding music.

I throughly enjoy teaching and helping others. My mother is an ER doctor and her values from that have carried on in me. I love seeing people succeed and their joy and knowing that I caused part of that.

As an older sister, I have spent countless hours teaching my middle school sister math and science. My eldest sister has also done tutoring before for SATs and biology along with math and chemistry and she is always useful for learning tricks of the trade and had shown me how to help students effectively.

I am a sophmore in highschool. I am on high honor roll and am widely acknowledged as an exemplar student by teachers and staff. My school has also been awarded the blue ribbon for academic excellence and is highly regarded by colleges.

I use a three step organization system, My reminder app in my phone, my planner and my whiteboard calendar. Sessions will be written on all three of these to gurantee punctuality.

Throughout the years, I have taught and tutored several people. My best friend struggles with sciences and I spent hours helping her with the Living Environment regents which took her from failing to a B. I did the same with her social studies final in middle school which took her from failing to a B+. As I said earlier, ive also assisted my younger sister throughout the years and I've helped several of my younger friends that Ive met while stage managing the middle school theater.

A lot of learning isnt just understanding content, Its how it is applied specifically in that class. As a student who is actively witnessing how schools and teachers are doing this in day to day learning, I am very familair with this and know how to do so effectively.

Thanksgiving! I have a large famil, I'm one of six children and to see all of my siblings after the pandemic has stopped us from doing so (They were all tested before and after) was wonderful.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about who the teacher is beforehand. Is it the kind of teacher that will effectively answer this question? ALso have research and background information ready before you ask in order to show that you aren't just trying to get a free pass but rather you've done everything you can and need some guidance.
