About STEPHANIE

I possess specialized education, training, skills, and experience in the areas of: English, Reading, Spelling, and Writing intensive subjects. I possess many years of experience in working with students of all ages from K-12th grades. My preference is to tutor elementary aged children, but I am open to all ages. I have a great passion to see each individual student meet, and exceed their highest potential as a student, and as an individual.

About the lesson

My typical process when working with a new student is to first introduce myself, and begin building rapport with them. I have found that it is very important to take a little time initially to allow the student to share who they are, and what their specific educational needs are from their point of view.

In building rapport, I express my professional interest, and commitment to serve them via academic instruction to achieve their highest goals on an optimal level.

I set the expectation to what they can look forward to gaining from the instruction, and often as of their expectation.

In gaining their initial trust and confidence, we can begin with small measurable goals, taken step-by-step to attain their ultimate goal(s).

I aim to set a tone an atmosphere where the student comfortable in asking any questions needed, and is free to communicate throughout the learning process.

Once all of this is set, and flowing, we begin!
