About Barbara
My sister has been a teacher for a long time and she has always loved it. I had been in customer service, and loved working with people in general. After I had my daughter, I volunteered at non-profit organizations helping children in different teaching environments. That is how I discovered how much fun it is to teach!
I have a B.A. in Speech from the University of MN. I am also certified in TESOL and TEFL. I have over 8 years of experience in Education.I have worked online and in classrooms with students ages 2-15 years. I have also been a substitute teacher when needed.

I introduce myself, tell the student a bit about myself, and I ask the student about themselves, in terms of what they like to do in their spare time, if they have siblings, pets, what their favorite subjects are in school, what they would like to learn to accomplish better work. I want to make the students feel comfortable and safe, and to know that I will work with them in a fair and understanding way.
I have worked with students ages 2-15 years, of all different learning styles.
It is most important that the student feel comfortable with the teacher. They should read the reviews, make sure the teacher knows what the students needs are, and also, to see if their personalities are a good fit,
I was working online with a small class, and I turned the lesson into a fun learning experience, with music and crafts. At the end of the lesson, all of the students answered questions about the topic, and they each got 100 percent of the answers correct! Plus, they had so much fun while they were learning!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should figure out what they are trying to accomplish. This way the teacher can better help the student achieve.

Barbara is amazing. So kind and patient with the kids. Also her education style is that of teaching via art projects, singing, stories, etc. HIGHLY recommend.
Ms. Barbara Zats is an exceptional teacher. She is so dedicated and passionate about teaching and it shows while she is working with the children. She makes learning fun and my child could not wait to go to school. Her patience and love for the children is second to none. I would highly recommend her for any teaching position.
