About Maeve

Hello! I am a senior at Smith College, a top university in Massechusetts. I have a passion for teaching people of all ages. My specialty is in English, specifically creative writing. However, I have also plenty of experince in all types of writing and research. I have been tutoring since high school and have since won awards for my creative and expository writing. I also have experience in teaching swim lessons to non-English speakers! My services will include; editing for grammar, structure, sophistication, and clarity; assisting with reseach and document-based writing (a requirement for AP exams); creative writing workshopping. I look forward to working with you!

I started teaching in high school, when I began peer mentoring in the English department. 



I am currently getting a degree in English (with and emphasis on creative writing) and Religion from Smith College. I have a 3.9 GPA and am in the process of drafting an honors thesis. 

I have also been a writing tutor since high school, mostly working with my peers. I also have extensive experince in creative workshops, and have published in magazines. Finally, I am also a camp counselor and swim instructor, so I have plenty of experince with young kids as well!

$12.50 an hour, but also extremely flexable. Willing to give lessons for free for the first few weeks until you are sure you want my services.
