About Mila
I stand out by being able to communicate with foreign students from Russian and Mandarin speaking backgrounds. I come from a very international background and completed the International Baccalaureatte in high school. I am patient, friendly, and kind; and understand the frustrations of learning a new language or studying the dynamics of an English. I also understand the feeling of immense joy when all of your hard work leads to the, "I get it!" moment. I strive to aid students in achieving this feeling. Be it with pronunciation, carrying out a conversation, or producing a great piece of written work. It is something that motivate a student to contuniue attaining their goals.
I enjoy learning from others as they learn from me. I enjoy being in an environment that allows me to be open-minded, and cultivating an atmosphere that is safe and encouraging. When learning a language, or working towards better articulating yourself through the written word (essay writing for exams and schoolwork, college admission, or personal creative projects) it can be a daunting task to produce work in a subject that a student does not feel extreme confidence in. I want students to feel reassured knowing that I will be there to support them however they feel will be best for them.
