About
My aunt was a teacher for just over 20 years. The amount of passion she had for this profession inspired me. I started out getting comfortable around children and learning more about their habits through coaching. I was a volleyball and softball coach for 6 years. From there it has just been a calling to teach and become a mentor, a guide and a friend.
I graduated high school with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. From there I am currently attending Notre Dame de Namur University and am set to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Elementary Education. I have been tutoring english and math for the past 4 years. I have gotten a lot of classroom observation hours throughout my journey. I was recently a Math Mentor at Beresford Elementary in Fall 2019.

In order to succeed it is crucial to feel comfortable with who you are working with, that is why creating a relationship is so important. I will begin with some base questions to get to know my new student, such as any learning requirements/restrictions they may have, what areas they want to improve on, and their work schedule. I am flexible and will accommodate your needs as best I can, I am here for you. From there we will do some sample work so I can see what areas I can put my input in so that the student can excel even more.
