About Skarlet

Hello! My name is Skarlet and English and Kiswahili are my first languages (I learned them at the same time growing up). I have found that an important aspect that is necessary for English teachers to have is to learn a language that is from a different root system linguistically as well as one structured differently than the English language in order to appropriately teach the English language. And even as I teach I am also learning. Currently, I am working towards getting a TESOL certification through my university. I am currently a Business Administration and MBA student as well, and I would love to help you with Business English as well! The price I have named includes the internet connection as well as simply the teaching sessions. I do provide our first 3 sessions for free, that way you are able to assess whether or not I am the right tutor for you, as we get to know each other. Please feel free to let me know how soon we can start, what it is you need, and the like. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I truly enjoy getting to know my students, learning from them even as I teach them and help them to grow in their knowledge of the English language. Please do share parts of your culture that you love and enjoy with me!

I have worked with both children and adults.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Please do consider how it is you find you learn best. If you do not know yet, consider taking these two quizzes and sharing your results with me:

This way I will be able to cater better towards your learning style.

Think about what helps you the most when it comes to putting into practice what it is you are learning. Questions like:

Would you like to practice via a video session with me in person?

Do you have people around you that you can practice your English with?

Do you prefer to write out what you want to say before you say it, to be sure you are saying it correctly?

...and more, are great to ask yourself to truly find out how best to work towards improving your English writing, speaking, and ultimately, comprehensive skills.
