About Allison
My tutoring services stand out because i genuinely enjoy teaching and seeing the look on kids faces when the finally understand something that they never thought they would. I've been tutoring for 3 years, ever since my baby brother started school and i discovered a love of teaching
I am the middle child of 5 kids, and have always been the one that helped with homework and hard to grasp subjects for my younger siblings throughout their school careers. But i am currently a senior in high school, so i have no formal training or education for tutoring.

I will start with a new student by watching them work on their own and seeing what areas they struggle in. Then i will make a plan and to strategically work through their most troublesome areas while simultaneously improving the areas they already have a grasp on.
A recent event i am fond of is helping a student write a letter that she did not want to have to sit down and write at all and have it become a positive memory for us both. I did this by helping her find the words she wanted to say and keeping her on track with spelling, punctuation, and grammar while finding the learning style that was helpful to her, instead of forcing her to do it the way i would have if i were her.
