About Theresa

I grew up in a big family and helped my disabled sister. I also did very well in school and teachers often asked me to help others. I knew I would make a good teacher. I began teaching English to foreign students many years ago. My full-time job has been teaching writing reading comprehension for over 40 years.

I have a Bachelors in Rnglish, a Masters in the Teaching of Writing, and a doctorate in Literacy Studies.

About the lesson

I work with each student based upon his/her needs.

i can work with students on assignments or guide students in general Dnglish improvement.

My typical student is HS and College level but I enjoy working with all ages.

Make sure the teacher understands you and your needs. You want someone who will understand how you learn best.

I like to encourage my students to write journals and poetry so they can enter Poetry slams.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What kinds of things do I struggle with? In what areas would you like to get stronger?
