About Edie

I love to learn, and want others to feel the same. I have taught Pre-k, Middle and High School students usually as a long-term sub in English and History.

My other jobs have been in facilitation, nonprofit management and government relations. I like helping people solve difficulties and be better at what they already do.

I have worked with youth as a volunteer, teacher and parent. I also have training in developing programming, and oversight of youth after-school programs.

About the lesson

First I want to have a conversation with them (and their parent(s) to learn what they want and need to accomplish. Then I like to hear about their preferred/best way to learn, engage and present information. I need to know if there is a timeline and/or deliverable, what that is and where they are in the process. After that we can set up a tentative schedule and process for working together, mutual expectations and set a date and time to start. I like to stay in touch as much as needed, and adjust as appropriate.
