About Frank
The parts of the job that make me stand out is the interest that I grab from the students. I try to make the lesson fun, and tie it into the everyday lives of the students. I also help them to learn how to solve any problems based on the readings that they do, and gauge what similar problems they could run into.
I enjoy working with the students. I love the students that I work with. I am patient with them, and compassionate about their potential. Like I said, I put a positive spin on the lessons that I teach, and relate to the students. Overall, I enjoy developing collaboration with the students and make it a positive expereience for them.
I have been tutoring for Huntington for 3 years now. I usually go by the curriculum that they provide to the students, but I am ready to take the next step and tutor students on the specific subject matter that they are doing. I have been a substitute teacher for the past 7 years, and have recently graduated with a M.A.T. in Elementary Education with the CEAS K-6 Elementary Education. I have also worked with middle school students, but as a substitute and tutoring them in ELA verbal lessons.
