About Nicolle
I have over 6 years of education, and still, every second I tutor or work with a student is a new exciting adventure. I have spent over 4 years studying education and educational pyschology to be able to tailor my tutorings to each student's individual needs and provide an outside-the-box educational style that pushes students beyond the standard educational system.
I've specialized in English because of my long experience both studying and teaching it. I've worked in private schools and in nonprofits, learning a lot from both settings.

First, I like to set aside some time to get to know the student and ask questions such as: their past educational experiences either at school or with other tutors, what has worked for them in the past, and when have they felt the most engaged while learning. Students need to feel they have a say in their education to build trust with me and feel most engaged with the tutorings.
Then, I make a detailed plan about how to proceed taking into account the student's needs in terms of modality and style. I discuss it with them to make them the most invovled in the process.
Finally, we begin to work on whatever they need and check in with them on a set basis about how they feel its going and how we can keep making it work for them.
