About Nicole
I believe interactive learning is the best way to efficiently comprehend something. I'll have students look at a concept from all angles, with a focus on understanding the bigger picture instead of just memorization of a few facts. This way students can better commit what they have learned to their long term memory. I'm also very patient and motivated to explore different avenues that work for students with different learning styles. Students will also learn how to effictively study and manage their time.
I have a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management and Conservation which required numerous courses in science, math, and writing. I have also tutored college students in English and I have tutored high school students in AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Physics, and English.

I first familiarize myself with the subject matter and then ask the students a few questions in order to gauge their current level of understanding.
I've worked with all kinds of students from those that were forced to go into tutuoring to those who passionately wanted a depper understanding of course material. I've been able to find common ground with all of them and have helped motivate them to believe in their success and push their understanding.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
In order to get the most benefit out of the lesson I believe students should try to find the gaps in their understanding prior to meeting. Students should also write down questions that they have when they feel they want to dive deeper into a topic, I try to encourage curiosity and a love of learning so lessons may potentially expand beyond required material as well.
