As a recent graduate with honors from San Jose State University, holding a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies, I developed a passion for effective communication and honed my skills in writing and language.

I gained practical experience as a writing consultant, where I had the privilege of assisting fellow students in improving their writing abilities.

I was voted "Tutor of the Semester" because of the collaborative and supportive environment that I cultivate, helping individuals express their ideas more effectively through written communication.

In my role as a tutor, I bring my academic achievements, experience as a writing consultant, and devotion to empowering others through effective communication. I have no training in tutoring, but I have an extensive education in multiple subjects, particularly Communication Studies and English.

About the lesson

I first get to know the student a little bit. I would like to know if they have any learning disabilities. I will ask the student how they like to learn. What methods have worked in the past? Finally, we will get to the matter at hand, which is what the student is struggling with specifically.

My trip to Disneyland this past March was such a magical experience for me. I haven't been since I was four years old! I went with my brother and his boyfriend. If you like Disney, we will have lots to talk about!
