When working with new students, I like to assess any work they have already completed as well as their goals for said assignment. If there are specific instructions, then those are evaluated as well. When dealing with writing assignments, I read the student's work, take notes on what I looks good and what needs improvement; then I discuss my thoughts with the student. I like to lead students in the right direction rather than give them answers right away, as I believe this is beneficial to their learning process! I want them to take lessons away from my sessions with them into their future academic endeavors and to have an easier time with writing in the future!
Mainly high school and college aged students!
