About Michael

Hello! My name is Michael Bacon. I was born and raised in Washington State, in a small town outside of Seattle. I am a passionate traveler, who loves sharing my experiences and knowledge with anyone willing to listen. In my free time I enjoy running and biking, as well as mountain climbing. I have wanted to become a teacher ever since I was a young child, and I am finally pursuing that dream. I hope to be able to help students accomplish their goals of learning English, while creating a fun environment that they look forward to coming back to every day. With my TEFL certification I feel that I am very well prepared to teach English to students of any age and ability level. I am very excited to begin teaching and helping students achieve there goals. Seeing a students eyes light up when they learn something new is a great feeling. I hope to inspire and support my students every minute of class.

I enjoy seeing the progression of my students as they contuinually understand new concepts and progress in their language skills. I love getting to meet new people and hear their stories while we are working together to help them accomplish their goals!

First we talk about what learning goals they have for themselves, and why they are choosing to learn English. Once I have an idea of what they're looking for I begin to lay out a plan that will progress their skills at a pace they are comfortable with. We will use many resources and have a fun, productive, and engaging class!
