About Veronica

Hi! I am an online English teacher who is interested in doing language exchanges where I help you learn English in exchange for learning your native language at no charge or cost to you. We can talk online through zoom.com’s free video meeting app so location is not an issue. Hope to see you online soon! Thanks, Veronica aka Teacher Kaye

Meeting people, learning culture, exchanging language.

I started teaching my sons through homeschooling and also teaching art and fiber art related classes. I have taught through educational departments at historical sites using living history. Taught some horse training prior to teaching ESL online full-time.

I have a minor in Applied Linguistics and teach on two online ESL platforms.

About the lesson

I use photos and storybooks according to Jeff Brown’s method for acquiring a second language. No reading or writing while with the native language speaker. Only talking in the target language. No grammar. Record each session and go back and practice with the audio and/or video recording. Here is his video link: (concealed information)

I would like to experiment with his method and see how it works.

I have worked with students from 4 years old and up through adults; teaching well over 2000+ students; many of these have become regular students.

Focus on relaxed vocabulary building first through active learning methods. Don’t focus on grammar or translation; reading or writing. Mistakes happen; don’t worry about it, just start talking and enjoy the process; you will learn more this way.

My 4 y.o. student from China who made me a beautiful surprise with his mom’s help. They are both awesome to see in class each week!! Another Chinese student who is currently living in the U.S. who likes to draw pictures of me with my headphones on our PPTs during class. My 18 year old Saudi student who is always asking interesting questions. The adult students world wide who have shared aspects of their lives with me.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are my goals?

Why is it important to me?

Can I just relax and learn the target language?

Can I have fun and enjoy the process?

Can I.....?
