About Sarah
Hello,
I currently work as an online English teacher where I teach English as a second language to Chinese kids. I know first hand what it takes to engage and learn english online. I have had very basic phonics students to older students who are learning grammar and reading comprehension. I can adapt and break English down to It’s very basic core making it easier to learn.
I am currently an online ESL Teacher for VIPKID.

I like to assess my students my trying to engage in some very English basics. A simple greeting, how are you, how old are you type of questions. Then I like to see if there is a basic understanding of phonics or understanding of our alphabet. Is the student more advanced? Let’s test some reading skills. I have found the better I am at adjusting the more successful my student can me. I believe in positive reneforcement when teaching a second language. It is incredibly hard to learn a new language, understand their rules and pronoucating. I make my class a safe space for students to try new things and try to have fun in the process!
