About Mikayla
I am a motivated high school senior with great communication skills. I have received awards for my achievements in math, English, and history, including the Pell US History Award and the Rhode Island Civic Leadership Award. I work well with students of all ages.
I love talking to and getting to know students. I really enjoy helping people to learn and understand new material.

I have never had an official student, but when I help my classmates I typically begin by having a conversation in which I seek to identify what areas a student is struggling with, how they best learn, and how they tend to approach solving problems.
Try to find a teacher that you can connect with. I have always found that it is easier to learn from someone who you can relate to. You should also try to find a teacher who is flexible and can adapt to your learning style.
