About Erika
With 6+ years as a credentialed elementary school special education teacher, I aim to help students improve their word reading and reading comprehension, math fluency and understanding. I am trained in a variety of reading and math intervention programs proven to teach students the tools and skills to succeed throughout their educational and life career.

When I begin with a new student it is important for me to get to know them first. I like to play educational games, ask them to share several items that are important to them and share a bit about myself too. I always set up and explain the daily schedule so they know what to expect, and then we will begin with a low risk academic activity so I can gauge where to begin.
I have worked with a wide range of students in both special education and general education settings. I specialize in working with students with dyslexia, autism, auditory and visual processing delays, ADD and ADHD.
