About Ililta
I am a personable, flexible and collaborative person. As a student, generic teaching plans and curricula don't always work for me, and I value personal relationships with my teachers and coaches so that we, together, can come up with a plan for me to master the material in a way that works for me. As a teacher/coach, I operate the same way. I want to work at the students pace while challenging them appropriately to see results.
The most rewarding feeling for me is seeing a student excel at and master something they once struggled with. I love the look on their face and the "I did it!" reaction when something finally clicks.
I have been babysitting and nannying since I was 11 years old. I've been a camp counselor, during which I lived with and mentored 10-11 year olds and I coached volleyball, swim and tennis to girls ages 8-16. I also am a swim instructor during my summers and I teach kids of all ages and abilities. Currently I am a student teacher at UCLA at a preschool on campus and I work with children from infancy to age 5.
