About Ali

Hi! I am a private academic tutor with 5+ years of experience
Here's a little about me:

• Years of experience tutoring children for 11+ in English, maths, sciences, verbal reasoning and non verbal reasoning

• Worked as an English tutor for part of a larger organisation, where we have helped hundreds of students ace their 11+ exams and make it into some of the top grammar schools and private schools in the country

• Several years of experience working and volunteering with children, especially those with learning difficulties

• GCSE qualifications:
A* Biology, A* Chemistry, A Physics, A Maths, A German, A Art & Design, A Design & Technology, B Geography, B English Language

• Studied at King Edward's School (KES Birmingham - private school) and King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys (grammar school)

• IB Subjects at King Edward's School:
Higher Level: Biology, Sports Science, Business Management
Standard Level: English, Maths Studies, Spanish ab

• Studying to become a physiotherapist - excellent knowledge of biology (particularly human biology), sports science and physical education

• Some experience learning Latin, French, Religious Studies, History, Music and IT

• Grade 5 in Violin and play piano on the side for leisure

• Experienced sportsman: Competed in hockey and athletics at regional levels. Recently started playing ice hockey. Background knowledge of sports science and experience in the gym has helped me to push my sporting achievements to the limit

Perfect! Ali has been tutoring my 10 year old daughter for 18 months now and I couldn't be happier with the results. He is just brilliant, he knows exactly how to explain difficult concepts to her while keeping her interested and engaged. Her progress in verbal, non verbal and spatial reasoning has been nothing short of amazing since she started lessons with Ali. He has also coached her on exam technique and her confidence has improved so much. I really cannot recommend him highly enough

Working with Ali weekly is a pleasure, he is very approachable and caring towards all the members we look after. Ali is very good at adapting his teaching technique to people of various needs and abilities and ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and at ease when trying to learn a new skill. Ali has taught many children how to ice skate and helped them to master different tricks on the ice. The members will always go to him for help as they know he will be there to do all that he can to help them progress as much as they would like to. Ali has a very calm and relaxing demeanour which i believe is perfect when trying to help anyone achieve something.
