Experienced tutor in Guitar in San Francisco, Learn offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

This review for Lawrence is from the perspective of a beginning guitar player. In choosing Lawrence, and compared to other teachers I spoke with, he took the time to understand my experience level and musical background before we started the lessons. After three months of private lessons, I also appreciate how Lawrence has helped me keep advancing as a beginner, including how to read and understand music.

Mr Paul has been teaching electric guitar to my eldest son for three years and to my youngest for one year.
Both have made excellent progress, thanks to Mr Paul's ability to keeping them focused and motivated while learning more and more complexe techniques.

I have two children (ages 9 and 12) currently taking lessons from Mr. Paul. Lawrence is a wonderful guitar teacher, and an outstanding teacher of music in general. He's very skilled at his craft, but beyond that is great at being simultaneously 100% positive and encouraging, yet still disciplined and consistent in his expectations from students. Both my kids really enjoy the lessons, and take a lot of pride in the progress they've made. I'd highly recommend Mr. Paul for anyone wishing to learn guitar.
