About David
This is a class unlike anyother.
Art comes in many ways. For myself it started with spending time with my words, instrument and myself to understand what I want to say, how I want to say it and how it should sound. It's all about feeling and intuition. We will first get in touch with who you are, who I am and what we want to accompish.
On my journey as an artist I have been led coast to coast and overseas. Upom graduating highschool I toured as the opener and videographer for Todrick Hall, attended Berklee College of Music to study songwriting and have been working on my album and writing for other artists in LA for about 2 years.
My journey as a educator started in highschool, I work with multiple school choirs to strengthen vocals and the bond of the teams. Since being in LA I have been working as a F.L.O.W instructor for the non-profit New Earth.. This work includes working with incarcerated youth in the Los Angeles area through hiphop, songwriting and listening to great artists.
If you decide to join me for class it will be different than a normal music class. You will be expected to listen to the great artist's of many genres, dive into your deepest self and ultimately make the music that rings true to your soul.
"The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively." - Bob Marley
Being a teacher and artist go hand in hand for me. I believe music is the great tool for understanding, sharing and relating to others.
Berklee College of Music, songwriting program, 2 years
