About Delilah
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over seven years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with a focus on contemporary styles. My teaching philosophy centers on helping students understand music as a creative language, not just a set of techniques. I strongly emphasize composition, arranging for guitar, and developing original musical ideas.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, skill level, and musical interests. I guide students in applying harmonic concepts, melodic invention, and counterpoint in a clear and practical way. These ideas are always connected to real playing on the guitar. I also support students in recording simple demos to bring their compositions to life.

My teaching approach focuses on making guitar learning clear, practical, and musical. I combine technique with music theory so students understand not just what to play, but why it works. Theory is always shown directly on the fretboard. This helps ideas feel real instead of confusing.
I teach scales, modes, chord construction, intervals, and harmony in a hands-on way. Students learn how chords are built, how progressions function, and how harmony shapes emotion in music. I connect theory to riffs, solos, and real songs. This method supports both expressive lead playing and strong rhythm skills.
I work especially well with students aiming for powerful rock expression as well as those focused on precision and classical discipline. Lessons are tailored so each student’s style and goals guide the learning path. I help turn theory into fluent improvisation and confident composition. We build a solid foundation step by step. The goal is musical freedom, clarity, and long-term growth on the guitar.
