About Trisha

Hello! My name is Trisha Smith-Clinkscales ~ In the past 4 years, I have been an English I/II Co-Teacher, ECS High School Teacher, and a CCR High School Teacher for the Wake County Public School System. I have taken a step back to an OCS Instructional Assistant teaching English, Reading, and Math. I have been a Preschool Teacher Assistant while a stay-at-home mom with my son and daughter for 20-plus years. My hyperactive son graduated from NC Wesleyan in 2021. My daughter, who struggled with reading in Kindergarten, graduated from Carnegie Mellon in 2022. I believe that adaptability and patience are important qualities in a tutor. With my personal and professional background working with learning disabilities, this is an area that I consider to be one of my strengths. I find joy in working with students to improve foundational skills better to ensure confidence, success, and a smile 😊! Trisha Smith-Clinkscales

Trisha Smith -Clinkscales tutored my daughter with counting money and telling time with an analog clock. I was very happy with my daughter's progress and the confidence she gained with her other schoolwork. My daughter was happy with better grades, how it helped her with other areas of math and how she was able to solve math problems without being so frustrated.
