Experienced tutor in Mathematics in Chicago, Heidi offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I am thrilled to recommend Heidi Leech as a math tutor. As a perpetually ‘right-brained’ person who was intimidated by the rigidity of math in High School, I found Heidi’s calm demeanor, warmth, and incredible kindness invaluable—she was willing to explain mathematical subjects (e.g., Algebra II, Geometry) from different perspectives until they finally clicked. On a personal level, Heidi helped deconstruct the embarrassment caused by a line of previous teachers who lacked patience with non-linear learners. She never made me feel ashamed for not understanding concepts, which helped me become more confident in expressing my needs as a student.

With 35+ years of experience, Heidi is an expert in both math and working with students. She created an environment where I felt comfortable marching to the beat of my own drum, learning in my own way. While I excelled in the Humanities, my math grades were bringing down my GPA before I worked with Heidi. Ultimately, with her help, I became the valedictorian of my graduating class, was accepted into every college I applied to, and attended The New School University in New York City with a significant scholarship.

Heidi gave me the confidence to persist amid the turbulent waters of high school. I am grateful for the effort she put into my academic success, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a patient, skilled, and warmhearted math tutor.
